Walking with God - "I WILL"

Psm. 57: 1-2
I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.
I cry out to God Most High to God who fulfils (His purpose for me.)
vs. 7 My heart is steadfast, O God....I will sing and make music.
vs. 9b I will sing of your among the people's.
Psm. 59:16
I will sing of your strength in the morning I will sing of your love... for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. (scriptures loosely written)
I love it when you read the scriptures and God just drops thoughts in your heart for the place you are walking in. This was on Saturday after a challenging couple of weeks. I like the words "I WILL" we are given the choice each day what we decide when given a situation. A key for me is what is 'His purpose for me'. My prayer: Lord let me walk in your will and purpose even when I do not understand your will and your ways. Singing is big part of my life.....when my mouth is filled with song it cannot be filled with the negative. I Choose to sing and trust the God of my salvation!!

Word of God Leads!...Speaks!...Guards!

A thought for today!!
Solomon instructing his son on the commands, laws, precepts and principles of life.
Prov. 6:22 loosely translated...'The Word will lead you where ever you roam...The Word will stand guard over you as you sleep....The Word will speak in the morning when you awake.' What more do we need?

In quietness and confidence shall be our strength. Isa. 30:15 It is not the absence of problems and trials. It's an undisturbed calm in the midst. It's all right! God is in control! As we quiet ourselves it will bring confidence.

Study and meditate on the Word of God. His Word will bring the peace you need..It will Lead...Guard and Speak...How powerful is that!!

Song-Faithful Servant

I was reminded of a song as I was having my devotions this morning. I wrote it many years ago. Many times this is the way God would speak to me and I have several.

As you work for Jesus many things will come against you.
Hold fast to His word and don't let go.
Souls are waiting throughout this hungry land.
Don't disappoint them, show God's salvation plan.
Time is almost ended and the fields are over ripe.
So be a faithful worker, be true throughout the fight.
And when your journey's completed and at His throne you stand.
He will say, 'Well done my child, enter into the promised land.'
He will help and guide you, oh He's faithful I know.
So trust in His promise as through this life you go.
And when your work is ended I'm sure that you will find.
You'll be with Him in glory walking in His sunshine.
There you'll live forever with the King of all ages.
Walking on the streets, singing His praises.
Oh Glory Hallelujah. Yes, let His praises ring.
Hosanna in the highest. Hosanna to the King.

He is Coming!!!

I was riding down the road with my husband the other night headed home and the Lord said 'it is a day like today I am coming' NOT when things are in turmoil. We use to sing a song, 'I'm looking for Jesus to come someday'. His coming is so much closer.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of an archangel,
and with the trumpet of God.
And the dead in Christ will rise first.
Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up
together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
Therefore comfort one another with these words.
I Thessalonians 4:16-18
Some would ask the question 'Do you believe that?" ...Oh yes, I firmly believe that! ...I stand on it!....because the Word of God teaches it. I have taught it to my children and now to my grandchildren and will my great-grandchildren when they are old enough. I have told them you need to ask Jesus to forgive them and to ask Him to come live in their heart and He promises a home in heaven. Whether it is by the rapture or natural death we are secure in knowing that we will all be together one day. There is great peace and comfort in the Word of God as we face the turmoil in the world today. Jesus is coming are you ready?

GOD CAN!!

We use to sing a song....'I know a man that can.' I do not remember the words to it except the important ones "GOD CAN."

The blue water-lily abounds in several of the
canals in Alexandria, Egypt,
which at certain seasons become dry; and the beds of these canals,
which quickly become burnt as hard as bricks
by the action of the sun, are then used as carriage roads.
When, however, the water is admitted again, the lily
resumes its growth with redoubled vigour and splendour.
(taken from Cowman writings)
Isn't this a picture of our lives when at times in the seasons of life we become parched and dried and we are used in the hard things of life. Oh, but then the sweetness of the rain comes and begins to soften and we see little buds begin to sprout and we sense the vigor renewed life and that which we thought was gone is again restored. In Joel 2:25 God says, ' I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten"
Remember "GOD CAN"

The tangles of life can undo,
There is nothing too hard for Jesus,
There is nothing that He cannot do." -Oswald J. Smith

Just a thought!!

"Your heart is the soil where thoughts become the seeds that create the future." unknown quote

I am writing as God gives it to me today. Our troubles always stem from the heart. That which is down deep inside of us, the things we allow in our mind whether they are good things or adverse things. We need to stop and choose not to allow them to take hold. Good seed or bad seed? A farmer wants to put good seed in the ground and then it needs to be taken care of to bring forth and be productive.
Good seed comes from reading and meditating on the Word and driving away those things that will bring harm and destruction.
"Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name." Psalm 86:11
When a heart is divided you are allowing two thoughts and you will find you will wrestle within and not have His peace. Plant good seed today!

His Plan for 2010

The Lord has always impressed on me a scripture or a thought at the beginning of each year.

I was impressed by a message in a Christmas card, a scripture and an exhortation.

As for You, O watchtower of the flock.
O stronghold of the daughter of Zion.
The former dominion will be restored to you;
Kingship with come to the Daughter of Jerusalem.

Job 42: 17 Job died, old and full of days.

Following based on Phil 1:27-29
In 2010 and beyond I will be
-Acting right
-Standing strong.
-Standing together.
-Fearing nothing.
-Enduring anything because I am
here to bring Glory to God.

These words may not mean anything to anyone else but it is beautiful when you read or hear something and you know the Lord is saying something in one's life. His word in Jeremiah 29:11 niv
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I have always looked for the 'plan' as future wondering where it was. But God spoke so plain this week that His 'plan' is today and then His 'plan' is for tomorrow and each day after that. He prospers me, no harm will come to me and there is a plan of hope and a future also. How powerful is that!
